JK Hooves: modular bass drum anchors for a repeatable setup
JK Hooves help keep your bass drum, pedals and drum hardware in a defined position while you play. Each Hoove captures a floor contact point, such as a bass drum spur, pedal base, stand foot or rack leg and attaches to a tight-knit, Velcro-compatible drum rug.
Instead of pressing against the bass drum hoop, JK Hooves secure the points where your hardware meets the rug. This makes them useful for more than bass drum creep alone. You can create a repeatable position map for the parts of your kit that move during playing, transport or setup.

Choose the right JK Hooves pack
Choose the pack based on the number of floor contact points you want to define:

2-Pack: designed as a starting point for the two bass drum spurs.

4-Pack: suitable when you also want to secure a pedal base, stand foot or another moving contact point.
-
16-Pack: made for larger kits, touring rigs, backline setups and repeatable hardware layouts.
You do not need to anchor every piece of hardware. Start with the points that move most, then add Hooves where they make a practical difference.

How JK Hooves work
Place the Hooves on your compatible drum rug where you want your hardware to sit. Position the bass drum, pedal or stand, then press the Hooves firmly into the rug. The hook fastener on the underside grips the rug surface and helps keep the mapped contact point in place.
For the most consistent results:
- Use a tight-knit, Velcro-compatible drum rug.
- Position the bass drum spurs before securing the surrounding hardware.
- Test the setup with your normal playing intensity.
- Add Hooves only where movement continues.
- Leave the Hooves in position if you want to recreate the same setup later.

More than a bass drum anchor
JK Hooves can be used to define the position of:
- bass drum spurs;
- single or double pedal bases;
- hi-hat stands;
- cymbal stand feet;
- floor tom legs;
- rack legs;
- other compatible hardware contact points.

Compatibility
JK Hooves are designed for tight-knit, Velcro-compatible drum rugs or carpet systems. They are not intended to attach directly to bare wood, concrete, polished floors or smooth stage surfaces.
The rug itself also needs to remain stable on the floor. If the rug moves as a whole, JK Hooves may not solve the rug-to-floor movement. In that case, address the rug surface and the contact points separately.
